Chad Block purchased a 2005 Subaru STi in August of 2004 as the newest project car. The silver on black STi will be used as a development platform for newly formed "Chad Block Racing Development," or CBRD.
The company is in the process of developing a new style header for the 2.0L and 2.5L turbocharged Subaru boxer motors, along with some other small bits such as suspension drop links and lateral links.
This is the first non-European car Chad Block Racing has ever built, so stay tuned for some awesome new developments. The STi was chosen because of it's potent 2.5L turbocharged engine, lightweight stiff chassis, and adjustable differential all wheel drive system.
As in the past, CBRD will be partnering with several different manufacurers and vendors in the aftermarket to produce one of the most complete STi street cars the tuner world has seen.
Currently the participating vendors have supplied the following:
Bridgestone Tires
245/35-19 Potenza S-03PP tires
H&R RSS 2005 Coil-over kit
TurboXS UTEC engine management
TurboXS Tuner
hardened shifter bushings, and sti shortshift
These companies have been specifically chosen by Chad himself, through careful consideration. Chad feels that these companies supply the best products while also providing some of the best service in the industry. You will see that H&R Suspensions and Bridgestone Tires have also participated on our project S4 (recently sold) and project Mini Cooper S (nearing completion). These two large companies offer some of the highest quality suspension and tire solutions in the world.
