Chad's Best Birthday Present Ever!!

Chad was grinning ear to ear today in the pits at Trois-Rivieres Quebec for
the American Le Man's series second straight street race. The 1.54 mile
circuit is a very historic one which is unlike the last race at Washington Dc
because it is on the city streets instead of new asphalt.

Chad booked his tickets a week ago planning on watching the race and doing
some networking but things took a turn the night before his birthday on
wednesday.

"My sponsor Gestetner doesnt have a Canadian base, so they werent interested
in the two Canadian races....that meant no funding for me. I planned on
watching the race from the sidelines until Steve and Mel called me last night
and told me to bring my gear. Talk about a birthday present..I am thrilled.
Those guys and the whole team have been so good to me."

The Knighthawk Racing #11 Lola MG failed to finish the DC race because of
multiple problems such as loss of brakes and a broken alternator. But Chad
thinks they will fare better this weekend;

"The car isnt very suited for the tight street circuits, as it was designed
solely for Le Mans. We have added some cooling for the brakes and we will
hopefully find a setup that will work here on these rough streets. I'm just
soo ecstatic I will be driving, I can't wait."

Chad Block and Steve Knight are 3rd and 7th in LMP675 points respectively.
Chad drove a LMP900 Panoz at Sebring and is quite happy with his ranking in
the 675 class since he did not get 675 points for that venue.

"I hope to move into the top 5 in driver's points and I'd like to see Steve
do well. We still have a slim chance to win the Team Championship, and that
would be outstanding."

The race will air this saturday live on Speed Channel.
