Chad Block to pair again with Knighthawk- looking for continued success

The Miami street race this coming weekend will present another challenge to all of the teams in the ALMS series, as noone has seen the track before. After a sucessful weekend at Laguna Seca where the pairing of Chad Block, Claudia Heurtgen, and Steve Knight produced the team's first win of the season.

The trio will again take to the streets of downtown Miami in what is the first of two back to back races, next weekend being the Petit Le Mans season finale. The last time the team visited a street circuit, Trois-Rivieres, Chad took the class pole and set a track record for LMP675 but the team didn't make a lap when Steve Knight had contact with the Champion Audi R8 in turn one on the first lap, therefor Chad is very excited to set foot on another street circuit:

"Miami should be interesting as it is on bumpy city streets where the MG seems to struggle a bit. Our car is designed for smooth Le Mans style circuits but we should be able to find a comfortable handling package. I am just happy Gestetner has been supportive throughout this season with my efforts."

The battle between Knighthawk Racing, Dyson Racing, and Intersport's Lola MG squads has been heating up the past few races. Chad thinks that the Knighthawk conservative race strategy will help them maintain their steam the last two races:

"I don't think we run as aggressive in any manner as the other two MG Lola teams do. This should help us to be there at the finish of the next two races. Claudia and I worked together very well at Laguna just like Steve and I do, that was originally a concern to me. I hope we can end the year with a great finish for Knighthawk and maybe that will translate into a ride for me next season."
