Chad Block comes from behind to take the Lead and give Knighthawk Racing Win #2 this season - much thanks to Claudia Hurtgen:

"Claudia brought the car in in one piece, all I had to do was get out front and pace myself."

Those were Chad's comments after the hot and humid race ended in Miami today. Knighthawk had their third pole position of the season and Chad's teammate Claudia Hurtgen held onto the lead until she fell to third before the first round of stops. When she handed over the driving duties to Chad about halfway the team came out of the pits second place in class to the other MG Lola of Intersport Racing.

"When I wanted to leave the pits the starter wouldnt engage, once we finally got started I stalled and almost didn't get out in front of the pacecar, we were lucky" - Chad said.

Chad then proceeded to run down a 50 second deficit and then pass the leading MG Lola of Jon Field's Intersport racing team (who Knighthawk was trailing by one point in the championship for lmp675). After that the Intersport MG Lola crashed into the wall and Chad cruised home to a 7 lap lead over second place LMP675 finisher Dyson Racing.

After a smooch on the cheek from his teammate Claudia, Chad went on to say;

"Wow, two in a row, this is outstanding. Claudia and I work so well together it really makes things work out awesome. I hope Gestetner, my sponsor, and the Knighthawk guys are as happy as I am, they all deserve it."

This two-in a row win streak has place Knighthawk Racing in the championship
lead by approximately 15 points headed into next weekends season finale at Road Atlanta. Chad is anxious;

"Petit is 1000 miles, so hopefully our little MG Lola will last, but I know it will be fast there. We will do our best to try to win the Championship, I would love that on my resume in my first ALMS season. We will just have to wait and see."

Stay tuned.
